This weekend (May 7th), Dr. Drew was working hard at the Trinity Combine providing care to the many athletes competing in the competition at the track of Oglethorpe University.  The combine itself was a decathlon/NFL combine hybrid consisting of 10 events:

1. 400 meter run

2. Football throw

3. Pull-up competition

4. 40 yard dash

5. Dip competition

6. Vertical jump

7. 20 yard shuttle

8. 500 meter row

9. Bench press competition

10. 800 meter run

Athletes competed in teams or individually. We had a great time at the event and want to extend a heart-felt thank you to the board members of the Trinity Combine as well as Lululemon for having us out to such a great event with such an awesome mission!

From their website: "The trinity combine exists to benefit Trinity Community Ministries which helps homeless men reclaim their lives and return to their families and communities as mentors and leaders. Utilizing its 36-bed transitional housing facility known as “Trinity House-Big Bethel,” Trinity House-Big Bethel has touched the lives of many men, delivering the support and resources required for them to successfully return to their families, their community, and, ultimately, to a better life.  More recently, as the number of veterans who are homeless and struggling with addiction has increased, Trinity Community Ministries launched Trinity Living, a permanent supportive housing program that helps men who have served our country, but now are homeless and find themselves in need of service from others."
