In an ever-evolving pursuit of offering the best practice standards to our patients, Dr. Drew has pursued diagnostic ultrasound as an imaging solution to better diagnose and treat extremity injuries in the clinic. This imaging modality has never been more accessible to the healthcare community, both in price and in portability. Soft tissue injuries can now be assessed with more accuracy, potentially without the use of MRI (in certain cases, ultrasound is equally accurate to MRI in diagnostic accuracy), saving time and money for the patient. Injuries are also able to be triaged appropriately so that care can be rendered in the office, or the correct referral can be made for more aggressive intervention.
